Caring for Hampshire’s Gardens and Designed Landscapes

The Hampshire Gardens Trust is the only voluntary organisation in the county to identify the needs and opportunities to conserve, protect and enhance the county’s rich heritage of parks, gardens and designed green spaces. We offer expert, free advice and appropriate project grants to raise awareness of the value of these special places

HGT Open Gardens

The next HGT Open Gardens event is on Tuesday 16th April, The Island, Greatbridge, Romsey. Visit our Garden Visits page for our full list of garden tours this year.

The Hampshire Register is a research database put together and maintained by a team of Research and Recording volunteers who investigate and record the history of individual parks and gardens to identify their historic significance, record their current condition and to inform their future conservation and development.

Garden Plans for Schools 2023

Over the last two years HGT has been working with three Hampshire primary schools. Our innovative scheme which provides a professional horticulturalist to work with the children has literally borne fruit.

Our 2024 Programme of Summer Visits is now available.

Dear members

We are currently updating our website to accept bookings for Garden Visits and Open Gardens for 2024.
We are very nearly there and as soon as the ticketing system is available we will be sending out an email inviting bookings. If we do not have your email address, please send it to Katy McIntyre Brown at: admin@hgt.or.uk and we will make sure your are invited.

Many thanks and we look forward to seeing you at our many wonderful events this year.

Best wishes,
Katy
