Bramshill Park – Now registered Grade 1 Listed
Hampshire Gardens Trust is pleased to announce that Bramshill Park has been Historic England registered from Grade II* to Grade 1, thanks to Sally Miller, Chair of the Research Group, who applied successfully to Heritage England for the upgrade. Her application drew upon the Trust’s knowledge of the site and the recent research carried out by Tudor and Jacobean garden historian Paula Henderson. This showed that, to a large degree, the surviving landscape of the park and garden was an integral part of the setting for the Grade I listed Jacobean house. As the grounds and house have been bought by a development company, the upgrade will help protect the surviving elements of the designed landscape within future developments.
Congratulations to Sally and the Research Group for this marvellous achievement.
