making a difference.........

  About us
  The Hampshire Gardens Trust was formed in 1984, the first in the network of county Garden Trusts. It aims to help conserve gardens at risk from neglect or inappropriate development by giving advice on their restoration, re-creation and management. The Trust is also involved in creating new gardens and landscapes and promotes learning about the environment in schools through improvements to school grounds. Activities are recorded in the Hampshire Gardens Trust journal, published annually.

  The aims of the Trust are:
" To help understand and care for Hampshire's gardens and parks, especially those at risk from neglect or inappropriate development;
" To encourage young people to appreciate, learn from and enjoy the environment by supporting improvements to their school grounds;
" To help create new gardens, park and green spaces for public recreation and enjoyment;
" Above all, to encourage everyone to discover the joy of gardens and to appreciate all the elements that together create a distinctive sense of place.
