Community Gardens

From 1984 onwards, the Trust has been involved with the creation of 14 new, small public gardens in Hampshire either by initiating the idea, giving advice and/or small grants or by providing general support to a scheme.

Several Friends Groups have been formed, often responsible for fund-raising and the upkeep of a garden.

In March 2009, nine of the Friends Groups responded to a suggestion by the Trust to set up an Association of Friends Groups, which now meets twice a year to exchange information and share problems.  This Association is not a closed shop and other groups are welcome.
