GRANTS SCHEME FOR SCHOOLS

Who are we?

Hampshire Gardens Trust (HGT) is a voluntary organisation and educational charity established in 1984.We bring together interested and enthusiastic members, some with professional skills, who work together with a common aim: to protect and sustain Hampshire's gardens, landscapes, parks and green spaces.

We are part of the Association of Gardens Trust, which comprises nearly 7,000 members
as part of a network of 35 county gardens trusts countrywide.  We are supported by
Hampshire County Council, through membership subscriptions, grants and donations, as
well as by our own fundraising efforts.

How do we help schools?

Through our Education Committee we help schools to create and manage their grounds to be used for educational purposes, for the enjoyment of pupils and staff, and to promote a quality environment.

How to apply for a grant

We welcome applications from primary and secondary schools across Hampshire for grant funding towards the design and construction of specific projects to enhance schools' grounds for both learning and pleasure.

It is important that your pupils have a say about the kind of grounds project they want; that
they help submit outline plans and designs and that they will help create and maintain their
outdoor space. Please note that we are unable to offer grants for plant material.

should be presented in a loose-leaf format, accompanied by the application form downloaded from this site.
