Benefits of Membership

There are many benefits to becoming a member of our Trust. A new programme of events is planned every year by the Trust's Promotions Commitee. These may include ...

 The Crescent, Alverstoke, The Friends Summer Garden Party Chawton House Library. (Research Group Training Day)

Visits to members' gardens, often not usually accessible to the public and the opportunity to attend joint events with other Gardens Trusts
Our AGM, usually held in an interesting venue and incorporating a well known topical speaker, followed by tours of the venue after the business of the day
Visits to gardens in Hampshire and out of the county - some by coach and some self drive. Always led by a knowledgeable expert, sometimes the original designer
Occasional short break holidays
Talks on a range of subjects with plenty of opportunity to exchange views with fellow members
The opportunity to become involved in research, practical gardening projects and all sorts of sociable activities
  ... and lots more. We always listen to members' ideas and try to incorporate them into our annual programme

Receive two illustrated Newsheets each year detailing news, events and unique opportunities for members only
Receive our Journal containing more substantial articles, news and book reviews
Enjoy two Newsletters from the Association of Gardens Trusts with information about events nationally
Join in a programme of events which may include garden visits, talks and occasional holidays
Enjoy the use of our specialist library collection held by the University of Southampton Library. This also includes a free readers ticket to the library
Have the opportunity to meet and work with other gardeners
