THURSDAY 27th SEPTEMBER 2018
Dipley Mill, Hartley Wintney
Members: £22 • Guests: £25 (includes a high tea in the barn)
Dipley Mill served as a working flour mill until its conversion into a country house in 1927. The mill is listed in the Doomsday Book.
Our visit will include a guide to the garden, introductory talk from garden designer Rose McMonigal followed by an extensive walk round the garden as she tells the stories behind the gardens. The afternoon culminates in a lavish, served tea of cake and scones all freshly made in the mill. The gardens are beautiful and this should be a lovely late summer visit to a special piece of preserved social and natural history.
