Researched and written by members of the Hampshire Gardens Trust Research Group, this book details the work of the famous landscape gardener Humphry Repton for his client George Purefoy Jervoise at Herriard Park between 1793 and 1800. The book draws on the extensive Jervoise family archive in the Hampshire Record Office.
The book is lavishly illustrated throughout and is fully referenced with copious end notes. Appendices carry the detailed transcriptions of the planting lists from the archive with identification notes.
