Schools

Our Schools Team is committed to addressing the urgent need for young people and their schools to develop practical skills and a life-long interest in the outdoor environment.

Gardens can capture a child’s imagination and help to increase their learning and development.  The Trust is therefore committed to providing opportunities for young people to develop a life-long interest and practical skills in the outdoor environment.

The Trust’s Schools Team helps schools to create and manage their grounds to provide an inspirational environment for study and play.  This could be a quiet area for story-time, a wildflower garden to attract butterflies, or attractive landscaping to improve the quality and appeal of the school environment.

Our Schools Team supports teachers by giving horticultural advice, practical expertise and by introducing them to schools with similar interests or concerns.  We also provide small grants towards worthy projects.
