Projects recently supported by the Hampshire Gardens Trust include:
Highfield C.E Primary School, Southampton
The play area was transformed from a concrete retaining wall into a pond life mural. The surrounding herb beds were planted by children. HGT funded the raised benches and stone circle pavings underneath existing shelter.
Clatford C of E Primary School, Andover
The photographs show the play area before and after the alterations. The Trust funded the bench.
Hardmoor Early Years Centre, Southampton
Advice and a small grant given to help the school create a garden for babies and children, including those with special educational needs.
St Swithun Wells Catholic Primary School, Chandler’s Ford
Advice and a small grant given towards the development of the school garden, including lecterns which will hold information boards on plants and the outdoor environment.
Chawton Primary School, Chawton
Continuing support has been given to Chawton Primary School to develop a vegetable garden at Chawton House. This is part of a wider scheme, supported by our Conservation Committee, to restore the walled kitchen garden.
