Talk Title: Lady Harriett’s Ferme Ornée: The Gardening Garniers of Rookesbury, Hampshire
From serpentine paths to tree-lined rides, the Garnier family adapted the landscape of their estate at Rookesbury, Wickham to follow current trends. With publication of the speaker’s book about the family and the building of their late-Georgian house, new findings have emerged about the park.
About the Speaker
Rosemary Baird Andreae FSA is the author of three books on Georgian art collecting and houses. Formerly Curator of the Goodwood Collection, she is a trustee of the national Georgian Group.
